Which formats are supported?
TXT only for now. Moonread detects common encodings and chapters and never rewrites your files.
Does it cost anything?
It is free with no subscription, and every feature is available. Settings include completely optional tips that unlock nothing.
Does AI cost money?
AI is optional and uses the service and account you choose, so pricing and quota come from that service. Reading works fine without it.
Will my books and progress move to a new phone?
Keep books in My Bookshelf with iCloud Drive on and the files sync. Turn on reading-data iCloud sync in Settings to sync positions, bookmarks, and notes too.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later.
